ARTIST'S NOTE:

“Supreme stands not only for a success story of a skateboard shop, but also stands for a youth culture and how popular brands can become. This development is mostly based on the fact, that Supreme has been a very open minded from the early stage, working together with many different artists, designers and fashion labels. Today the brand creates such magnet for people that they spend a crazy amount of money for products and spend hours in a queue to visit their shop. Even the used plastic bag is traded on ebay platform for around 20 EUR, showing that brand names and their products become a totem or object of power creating a feeling of belonging.” - Tobias Molitor

Molitor’s works are about everyday products and traces of usage, which are often perceived in the subconscious. The focus is based on the materialism and shape of the products as well as haptics which occur by appliance. The works are based on digital photography and screen printing.
