ARTIST'S NOTE:

“This work relates to the food brand Tropical Sun Foods. The yellow, green and black colors are an allusion to the flag of Jamaica and should point at the origin of the products. A friend of mine gave me this bag because he knows my passion for everyday common products. The bright and warm colors underline the atmospheric “tropical sun” which for me, feels like a false image, since there is no real connection between the origin of the foods and its distributors in the UK” - Tobias Molitor

Molitor’s works are about everyday products and traces of usage, which are often perceived in the subconscious. The focus is based on the materialism and shape of the products as well as haptics which occur by appliance. The works are based on digital photography and screen printing.
